DALY BMS Expands IoT Connectivity Options
DALY BMS has introduced new RS485, CAN, and Bluetooth communication protocols for its battery management systems to enable enhanced integration with SCADA platforms and other IoT infrastructure.

DALY BMS is enhancing its battery management systems (BMS) with expanded communication capabilities designed for greater integration into Internet of Things (IoT) frameworks. The company's Smart BMS IoT platform now supports remote monitoring and data exchange via RS485, CAN bus, and Bluetooth connections.
These updates aim to extend the applicability of DALY BMS across diverse applications, from residential solar energy storage and commercial battery racks to industrial electric vehicle fleets. The RS485 interface utilizes the MODBUS RTU protocol, supporting data transmission over cable runs up to 1,200 meters for integration with SCADA systems, inverters, and energy management platforms. The CAN bus, a common standard in automotive and heavy industrial sectors, provides higher speed and more robust error detection, suitable for electric vehicles and grid-scale storage.
For installations where wired connections are impractical, such as recreational vehicles or portable power packs, DALY BMS offers Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 4.0/5.0 connectivity paired with a mobile application. An additional UART interface allows for direct serial integration in custom OEM designs.
The company emphasizes that these protocols facilitate essential functions such as real-time state-of-charge reporting, remote command execution, and historical data logging. DALY BMS also indicates that customized CAN integration solutions are available upon request, addressing specific industry needs.
