DALY BMS has introduced a new line of high-current Battery Management Systems (BMS) tailored to the demands of the Indian electric vehicle sector. The product range spans current ratings from 80A to 800A, specifically targeting electric scooters, e-rickshaws, and e-loaders.

As the Indian EV market expands rapidly, the company highlights the critical role of correctly sized BMS units for the reliability and performance of battery packs. DALY points out that sizing based solely on continuous load can lead to nuisance tripping and premature failures when vehicles encounter higher transient demands, such as climbing inclines with heavy loads.

The "Mini-Red Series" addresses needs from 80A to 400A, designed for two- and three-wheeler OEM production. It features OEM-ready interfaces, including key switch input and buzzer output, with configurable support for various battery chemistries like LFP, NCM, and LTO. For heavier applications, such as light commercial EVs and industrial cargo vehicles, the "D Series" offers continuous current ratings from 400A to 800A.

DALY emphasizes that its BMS solutions are engineered to meet India's regulatory requirements, including compliance with the AIS-156 standard. The company offers documentation and engineering support for type-approval processes, aiming to assist manufacturers in integrating these systems into their electric vehicles.
