DALY BMS, a company specializing in battery management systems (BMS), has released a new universal interface board. This product is designed to meet the growing demands for high performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in iron-lithium batteries, which are increasingly used in household energy storage and base stations.

The new interface board offers functionalities including querying BMS information, setting BMS parameters, and enabling sleep and wake-up functions. It supports parallel communication via dual RS485 and dual CAN interfaces, allowing for the parallel connection of up to 15 battery packs. The board also features an LED display, status indication, and two dry contact outputs.

Power consumption for the unit ranges between 0.3W and 0.5W. The interface board enters a sleep state if the main BMS unit enters sleep mode, effectively powering down. Activation is achieved through a single button press. The RS232 interface is intended for connection to a host computer, with a default baud rate of 9600bps.

CAN and RS485 communications operate at default rates of 500K (CAN) and 9600 bps (RS485) respectively, supporting host computer connection and firmware upgrades. When the CAN interface is connected to an inverter, the RS485 interface should be paralleled, and vice versa; users must flash the corresponding program for these configurations. DIP switches are utilized to set unique addresses for each parallel battery pack, preventing address conflicts.
