Dassault Aviation puts Falcon 6X business jet into service

French aerospace manufacturer Dassault Aviation has commenced operations for its Falcon 6X business jet. The aircraft entered service on November 30, marking the conclusion of a multi-year development and certification cycle.

The aircraft secured its type certification from both the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on August 22. Following this milestone, the company implemented several post-certification technical enhancements that required additional regulatory sign-off before the aircraft could be delivered to clients.

Commenting on the milestone, Dassault Aviation Chairman and CEO Éric Trappier noted the successful transition to fleet entry. The Falcon 6X is designed to compete in the ultra-wide-cabin business jet segment, a critical area of growth for the manufacturer as it navigates a competitive market landscape dominated by global industry peers.
