Dassault Aviation Reports Increased First-Half Sales, Lower New Orders
Dassault Aviation's first-half sales rose by 46% to EUR 4.16 billion, driven by Rafale export deliveries. However, the company's incoming orders decreased significantly compared to the previous year.
French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation reported its first-half 2026 financial results, showing a 46% increase in net sales compared to the same period in 2025. Sales reached EUR 4.16 billion, primarily boosted by the delivery of six additional Rafale fighter jets for export and related development and support revenues.
Operating income saw an 83% rise to EUR 330 million, with net income at EUR 496 million. The company noted that the prevailing military and geopolitical climate, including the conflict in Ukraine and regional tensions, continues to shape its operating environment. However, an anticipated increase in the French defense budget offers potential opportunities.
In contrast, incoming orders for the period declined substantially from the first half of 2025. In H1 2026, order intake was EUR 2.88 billion, down from EUR 8.07 billion in H1 2025. This decrease was largely due to lower defense orders, although Falcon business jet orders saw an increase.
The company’s order backlog stood at EUR 45.4 billion as of June 30, 2026, a slight decrease from the end of 2025. The backlog includes 208 Rafale fighter jets and 83 Falcon aircraft.
Dassault Aviation maintained its full-year 2026 guidance, expecting net sales to reach approximately EUR 8.5 billion.
