Dassault Aviation secured new orders totaling €12.1 billion in 2021, comprising 49 Rafale fighter jets and 51 Falcon business jets, alongside significant deliveries.
French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation announced a strong order intake for 2021, reaching €12.1 billion. This figure includes 49 Rafale fighter jets and 51 Falcon business jets. The company delivered 30 Falcon aircraft and 25 Rafale jets during the year.
Key export contracts secured in 2021 include an order for 80 Rafale jets from the United Arab Emirates and an order for 42 Rafale jets from Indonesia. These are separate from the year-end backlog. Additionally, Egypt and Greece confirmed orders for a combined 37 new and 12 pre-owned Rafale aircraft, while Croatia ordered 12 pre-owned Rafale jets.
In its business jet segment, Dassault Aviation unveiled the new Falcon 10X model and saw the Falcon 6X complete its first flight. The business jet market is experiencing a recovery, particularly in the US and Europe, with demand for high-end aircraft exceeding pre-pandemic levels.
The company also reported progress in military support services, including the Balzac maintenance contract for Mirage 2000 aircraft awarded by the French Directorate of Aeronautical Maintenance. Dassault Aviation continues to provide support for international Rafale fleets and participates in programs such as Eurodrone and the Future Combat Air System (FCAS).
