Dassault Aviation Reports Rise in First-Half 2026 Sales, but New Orders Decline
Dassault Aviation's adjusted net sales increased to EUR 4.16 billion in the first half of 2026. While the company's backlog remains substantial, the value of new orders received during the period saw a significant decrease compared to the prior year.

Dassault Aviation announced its financial results for the first half of 2026, reporting an increase in adjusted net sales to EUR 4.16 billion. This marks a notable rise from EUR 2.85 billion recorded in the same period of 2025.
The company's order backlog stood at EUR 45.36 billion as of June 30, 2026, a slight decrease from EUR 46.60 billion at the end of 2025. However, the value of new orders received during the first half of 2026 significantly dropped to EUR 2.88 billion, down from EUR 8.08 billion in the first half of 2025. This intake included 23 Falcon business jets and fewer Rafale fighter jets compared to the previous year.
Adjusted operating income rose to EUR 330 million, with an adjusted operating margin of 7.9% of net sales. Self-funded research and development expenses decreased to EUR 131 million from EUR 182 million in the comparable period of 2025. Available cash stood at EUR 10.10 billion at the end of June 2026.
Dassault Aviation's business primarily involves the manufacturing of Rafale fighter jets and Falcon business jets. The company stated that deliveries for both aircraft types are expected to continue in the second half of 2026, though the outlook for new order intake appears more uncertain than in the prior year.
