Dassault Aviation to Manufacture Falcon Business Jets in India

French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation has signed an agreement with Reliance Aerostructure Limited to manufacture Falcon 2000 LXS business jets in India for the global market. The announcement was made at the Paris Air Show.

Dassault Reliance Aeropace Limited (DRAL), a joint venture between the companies, will house the first Falcon business jet assembly line outside of France. This positions India among an elite group of nations, including the United States, France, Canada, and Brazil, that produce next-generation business jets.

DRAL is also set to become the first Center of Excellence (CoE) for Falcon products outside France. The collaboration involves transferring the assembly of the entire fuselage and wings for the Falcon 2000 model to India. Additionally, DRAL will undertake the assembly of front sections for the Falcon 8X and Falcon 6X models.

As part of the agreement, the first "Made in India" Falcon 2000 is targeted for its initial flight from DRAL's facility in Mihan, Nagpur, by 2028. Dassault Aviation has operated in India since 2017, with DRAL having already produced over 100 major components for the Falcon 2000.
