Data analytics company Databricks topped the week's funding rounds, announcing a $5 billion investment. The company reported surpassing a $7 billion revenue run rate in Q2, with over 80% year-over-year growth. Coatue led the round, with participation from investors including Blackstone, T. Rowe Price, and Sixth Street Growth.

The new funding round values Databricks at $190 billion, a significant increase from its December 2025 valuation of $134 billion. The company has raised approximately $25 billion in total funding since its inception. This latest raise highlights continued investor confidence in large-scale data platforms and AI infrastructure.

Other notable funding rounds included AI reinforcement learning firm River AI, which raised $1.1 billion, and grid-scale battery developer Form Energy, which secured $750 million. Defense technology company Neros Technologies raised $250 million for its drone manufacturing and interception systems, reportedly securing contracts with the U.S. military and allied nations.

AI code review technology provider CodeRabbit also raised $143 million. Additional investments were made in companies focused on data center networking, organ preservation, and biotechnology. The report compiles data on the largest announced funding rounds for U.S.-based companies.
