Databricks opens new Singapore office amid 350 million dollar investment plan

Databricks has officially opened a 32,000-square-foot office at IOI Central Boulevard Towers in Singapore. This facility is four times the size of the company's previous local office and serves as the anchor for a 350 million dollar investment initiative slated for the next three years.

The firm plans to expand its Singapore-based workforce to more than 500 employees, including over 200 engineers focused on technical deployment. This expansion is supported by strategic partnerships with the Singapore Economic Development Board and the Infocomm Media Development Authority, which aim to align the company's growth with the country’s national AI agenda.

Beyond physical office space, Databricks has introduced an AI accelerator program designed to assist more than 100 early-stage startups over the three-year investment period. These developments follow the company's recent reporting of a revenue run rate exceeding 7 billion dollars, signaling continued scaling of its data and AI software business.
