Datadobi completes SOC 2 Type I security audit

Datadobi has received a SOC 2 Type I attestation from KPMG, confirming that its software engineering and data security processes meet independent quality standards.

3 November 2026

Belgium-based data management firm Datadobi has successfully completed a SOC 2 Type I attestation, a move aimed at validating the company's internal controls surrounding software development and security. The independent audit was conducted by KPMG and aligns with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) framework.

The SOC 2 designation verifies that a service provider's operational processes effectively protect customer data. Datadobi’s internal methodology includes a 'four-eyes' code review process and automated quality testing. The company maintains an independent quality assurance function separate from the development team to ensure that software updates are thoroughly vetted before deployment.

As organizations increasingly migrate unstructured data for AI-driven initiatives, the demand for verified security protocols has risen. Datadobi CTO Carl D'Halluin stated that independent validation serves as a differentiator in a market where data integrity is critical for downstream AI model accuracy.

The audit covers the company's risk-control matrix, security training, and support practices. By securing this attestation, Datadobi aims to provide transparency into its operational discipline, offering customers assurance that their data workflows are managed under audited security frameworks.
