Datavations introduces tracking tool for retail product tests
Datavations has released a new analytical capability designed to monitor limited-distribution product tests within major home improvement retailers.

Datavations, a provider of commercial intelligence for the building materials sector, has launched the Store Test Tracker. The platform aims to identify new product tests occurring at Home Depot, Lowe's, and Menards, providing manufacturers with data on how these limited-distribution items perform within specific categories.
The tool collects data on individual stock-keeping units (SKUs) currently being tested in select markets. By monitoring these rollouts, manufacturers can gauge competitive activity and assess the potential impact of new product launches before they reach a national scale.
Beyond tracking, the system processes these findings to generate strategic recommendations for manufacturers to present to retail partners. This development comes as home improvement suppliers seek more granular visibility into the testing strategies of major retailers to adjust their own inventory and sales planning.
