Dating App Rivet Secures $10.5 Million to Scale US Operations
Dating startup Rivet has raised $10.5 million in seed funding to build and scale its community-driven matchmaking platform, announcing its nationwide US launch.
Dating platform Rivet announced it has raised $10.5 million in seed funding from investors including Peak XV Partners, Shine Capital, and Blume Ventures. The capital will be used to develop its product, expand distribution, and scale across the US, following its nationwide launch yesterday.
Rivet maintains an office in Delhi NCR, with its engineering and machine learning teams primarily located in India. The startup was founded in 2025 by former Tinder and Match Group executive Taru Kapoor and Rajat Sahni.
The platform employs a "social matching" model where users, or "matchers," can assess potential pairs and recommend introductions. These recommendations contribute to a score, leading to introductions for pairs with high scores. Individuals can also participate solely as matchers.
Rivet aims to differentiate itself from competitors like Tinder and Hinge by focusing on community recommendations to address user frustrations with transactional and isolating online dating experiences.
