David Hale Appointed CEO of Guerbet
David Hale will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer at Guerbet starting January 1, 2020. He is tasked with accelerating the deployment of the Group's strategy.
Villepinte, France – Guerbet's Board of Directors has appointed David Hale as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2020. Hale has served as Chief Commercial Officer and a member of the Group's Executive Committee since February 2018.
Hale takes over from Yves L’Epine, who has held the CEO position since 2011. The Board stated the appointment aims to accelerate the company's strategy, particularly in the interventional and augmented intelligence imaging segments. Guerbet confirmed expectations for 2019 sales to increase by over 3%, with an EBITDA margin around 14%. For 2020, the EBITDA margin is projected between 14% and 15%.
Hale, 51, is Franco-American and joined Guerbet's Executive Committee in February 2018. His international career includes roles at Boston Consulting Group and GE Healthcare, where he spent a significant portion of his career in areas such as service, software, and medical devices.
Guerbet is a pioneer in contrast agents with over 90 years of experience in medical imaging. The company dedicates 8% of its revenue to R&D and reported revenues of €790 million in 2018.
