David Hale Appointed General Counsel for CRISP Shared Services and CRISP

Columbia, Maryland – David Hale has been named General Counsel for CRISP Shared Services (CSS), a nonprofit providing health infrastructure and data exchange technology, and its affiliate CRISP, the state-designated health information exchange (HIE) for Maryland. Hale will oversee the legal functions for both organizations, advising on governance, regulatory compliance, privacy, security, and enterprise risk. Hale brings more than 25 years of experience across healthcare, financial services, technology, and private practice. His background includes serving as General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer at technology firm Minty and Deputy General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer at TD Ameritrade. He also led the privacy and data security practice at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck.
