Deepal S09 receives V5.4 OTA update with Huawei ADS Max integration

Deepal has released a significant OTA (over-the-air) software update, version V5.4, for its S09 SUV. The primary update focuses on the integration of Huawei’s乾崑 ADS Max V5.0.2 system, enhancing the vehicle's autonomous driving capabilities.

The update includes over 20 new features, focusing heavily on urban navigation and parking assistance. Additions include urban cruising assistance, automatic rear-end collision prevention (ARCP), and real-time visualization of charging station availability. The system also enables automated navigation to designated parking spots within a facility.

Beyond driving assistance, the update incorporates an upgraded AI voice model and improved user interface options. The Deepal S09, a large six-seater SUV introduced in 2025, serves as the primary testbed for the company's "Smart Lead 2030" strategy, utilizing a sensor suite that includes a 192-line lidar system for high-precision environmental perception.
