DeepSeek introduces natural language plugin development for Harness platform

DeepSeek's Harness team debuted a new development interface on November 2, allowing users to build custom plugins via natural-language input. The feature aims to simplify the creation of specialized agents by translating user requests into functional tools.

Demonstrations of the new mode showcased capabilities ranging from interactive 3D visualizations to video editing software and data-tracking dashboards. The company provided seven initial templates in both English and Chinese to illustrate how the system processes conversational feedback to refine tool performance.

Harness serves as an open-source agent platform designed to extend the functionality and user interface of DeepSeek’s core systems. By allowing users to generate plugins through conversation rather than traditional coding, DeepSeek is positioning the platform for broader accessibility within the developer community.
