DeepSeek to Implement Peak and Off-Peak API Pricing
DeepSeek will introduce peak and off-peak pricing for its API services starting August 17. Prices during peak hours will be half the rates applied during off-peak periods.

Technology firm DeepSeek is set to implement a new pricing structure for its API services, differentiating between peak and off-peak usage times. The changes are scheduled to take effect on August 17.
The company has defined peak hours as 9 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Beijing time. All other hours will be considered off-peak, with services priced at half the rate of peak times.
For the deepseek-v4-flash model, peak pricing will be RMB 0.10 per million tokens for cache-hit input, RMB 3 for cache-miss input, and RMB 9 for output. Corresponding off-peak prices will be RMB 0.05, RMB 1.5, and RMB 4.5.
The deepseek-v4-pro model will be priced at RMB 0.30 for peak input (cache-hit), RMB 9 for peak input (cache-miss), and RMB 27 for peak output. Off-peak rates for this model will be RMB 0.15, RMB 4.5, and RMB 13.5, respectively. This tiered pricing aims to manage demand more effectively throughout the day.
