Music streaming service Deezer announced it is developing a new feature to enable users to filter out music generated by artificial intelligence from its platform. The new functionality is slated for release before the end of 2026.

When activated, the new toggle will prevent AI-created tracks, albums, and related artists from appearing in search results. Deezer CEO Alexis Lanternier stated the feature addresses clear user demand, aiming to ensure listeners can focus on human-created content.

The surge of AI music on the platform has been a key driver for developing the new filtering capability. A survey from last year indicated that approximately 45% of Deezer customers desired an option to remove AI music from their listening experience.

Deezer implemented AI detection tools last year and has since been reporting on the volume of AI-based tracks uploaded to its platform. In early 2025, AI-generated tracks constituted 10% of daily uploads. By July 2026, Deezer reported that over 50% of daily uploads were AI-generated tracks, averaging 90,000 tracks per day.
