DeFiance Media and United Independents to Host Independent Election Night Coverage
A new eight-hour live election broadcast focuses on independent candidates, utilizing AI-powered multilingual translation for global accessibility.
On November 3, DeFiance Media and United Independents will launch a live, eight-hour broadcast dedicated to independent political candidates in the U.S. elections. The program originates from the National Press Club in Washington, targeting the 45% of American adults who identify as independents, a demographic shift noted by recent Gallup data.
The broadcast will track the performance of six key independent candidates running for seats in the Senate and House, assessing their potential to influence future congressional majorities. The production features a range of guests, including Andrew Yang and Marianne Williamson, and uses data-driven reporting to examine the broader implications of these races for upcoming election cycles.
Technologically, the project leverages Lingopal’s AI-powered translation tools, providing a live pool feed in five languages: English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Arabic, and Mandarin. This represents a significant effort to broaden the accessibility of U.S. election coverage to diverse, non-English-speaking audiences.
The broadcast is available for syndication to newsrooms, social media platforms, and streaming services. By offering a localized, independent perspective on election night results, the organizers aim to provide an alternative to traditional party-dominated news coverage.
