DEHN and Celsion Test "E30" Solution for Fire Safety Systems

DEHN SE and Celsion Brandschutzsysteme GmbH have successfully tested a combined solution that guarantees the functionality of fire alarm and voice alarm systems for a minimum of 30 minutes under extreme fire conditions. The certified "E30" solution integrates DEHN's surge protection devices with Celsion's fire protection housing.

The tests, conducted at the Materialprüfungsanstalt (MPA) of the University of Stuttgart, subjected the system components to direct flame exposure at temperatures exceeding 900 degrees Celsius for 33 minutes. This simulated the high thermal loads and interactions experienced in a fully developed fire, demonstrating that the tested system meets and exceeds the required functional endurance.

The tested setup included applications for fire alarm systems, voice alarm systems, and emergency lighting (SiBe). The solution's core is the interaction between DEHN's surge protection technology, tailored for energy and information interfaces, and Celsion's CK30-SHW fire protection housing. The housing provides thermal shielding for internal components, while DEHN's protectors ensure the electrical integrity of the systems.

According to DEHN, this tested system offers planners, installers, and operators enhanced legal certainty and compliance with standards. It provides reliable surge protection even in fire situations, contributing to the safety of people and property in complex building structures.
