DEHN releases voluntary sustainability report for 2023/24
The family-owned technology firm DEHN has published a sustainability report for the 2023/24 fiscal year, pre-empting upcoming EU regulatory requirements.

DEHN, a manufacturer specialized in lightning and surge protection, has released a comprehensive sustainability report detailing its performance from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024. Although the company is not legally mandated to report under the EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) until the 2025/26 fiscal year, it has chosen to publish the data voluntarily to establish internal benchmarks.
Key performance indicators cited include a workforce of 2,500 employees globally and a portfolio of 1,100 active patents. The company has set a goal to increase the use of sustainable materials in its products to 20 percent by 2030. The report outlines the company’s focus areas, which include responsible corporate governance, employee safety, product circularity, and environmental management.
Management stated that the report reflects a shift toward documenting sustainability as a core component of its business model. By aligning with future regulatory standards now, the company aims to formalize its long-standing corporate culture of balancing economic, social, and ecological responsibilities.
