Dell launches two rugged laptops with Intel's latest processors
Dell has announced two new rugged laptops equipped with third-generation Intel Core Ultra processors. The models, Pro Rugged 13 Extreme and Pro Rugged 14, are designed for demanding environments.
Dell announced the release of two new rugged laptop computers powered by third-generation Intel Core Ultra processors. The company introduced the Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme and Dell Pro Rugged 14 models.
The Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme is a fully ruggedized model designed for extreme conditions. It features IP66 dust and water resistance, can withstand drops from 1.8 meters, and is safe for use in explosive environments. The device includes a 13.3-inch touchscreen with 1400 nits brightness and LPDDR5X memory.
The Dell Pro Rugged 14 is a semi-rugged model. It offers IP53 dust and water resistance and can tolerate drops from 0.9 meters. This model features a 14-inch FHD+ display with 1100 nits brightness, with optional touchscreen support. It utilizes LPCAMM2 memory modules and can be configured with an optional NVIDIA RTX PRO 500 laptop GPU.
Both devices come with a smart card reader, fingerprint reader, and an IR facial recognition camera. Optional 5G cellular network modules are available. Batteries and chargers from the previous generation are compatible with the new models.
