Delta Air Lines Redesigns Delta One Premium Cabin

Delta Air Lines is undertaking a significant overhaul of its premium Delta One cabin, marking the first major redesign in 30 years. The airline is investing over $1 billion in fleet upgrades, with a focus on enhancing the long-haul travel experience.

The revamped cabin will feature new Delta One seats designed for privacy and comfort, particularly on the Airbus A350-1000 aircraft. These seats include sliding doors for individual suites, lie-flat capabilities, and enhanced cushioning. Small details, such as handbag hooks and larger screens, have been incorporated based on customer feedback.

Dining and beverage services are also being upgraded. The menu now includes options like Wagyu beef burgers and braised lamb, developed in collaboration with chef Simon Hulstone and sommelier Andrea Robinson to maintain flavor at altitude. The beverage selection has been expanded to include premium spirits and high-end wines.

The upgrades will commence this fall on select routes from Los Angeles International Airport, with a phased expansion across the international network through 2027. This initiative aligns with an industry-wide push to capture a larger share of the lucrative premium travel market.
