DelveInsight Publishes Epidemiology Report on Eosinophilic Esophagitis
DelveInsight has released a new epidemiology report detailing the prevalence and forecast of Eosinophilic Esophagitis in the United States, Europe, and Japan through 2034.

Market research firm DelveInsight has published a new epidemiology report providing an in-depth understanding of the prevalence and forecast of Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) through 2034. The report, titled "Eosinophilic Esophagitis – Epidemiology Forecast—2034," covers the United States, EU5 countries (Germany, Spain, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom), and Japan.
Eosinophilic esophagitis is described as a chronic, immune-mediated esophageal disease characterized by symptoms of esophageal dysfunction and eosinophil-predominant inflammation. Key symptoms include heartburn, regurgitation, and dysphagia, observed frequently in young adults and children. The disease was first recognized as a distinct entity in the 1990s.
The report analyzes the diagnosed patient pool, gender-specific and age-specific cases, and the historical and forecasted trends of EoE from 2021 to 2034. It aims to offer insights into the drivers of these trends by exploring various studies and key opinion leader perspectives. The scope is limited to epidemiological data.
Currently, no drugs are FDA-approved specifically for EoE treatment. Therapeutic approaches follow a "3D" concept: diet, drugs (such as PPIs and corticosteroids), and dilation. The report implies that increased awareness and diagnostic capabilities have contributed to observed trends in EoE prevalence.
