Demand for Quartzene® in Cool Roofs Drives New Order for Svenska Aerogel
Svenska Aerogel has received a new order for its Quartzene® material for use in cool roof applications. The material helps reflect sunlight and reduce heat absorption in buildings.

Svenska Aerogel has delivered another order of 500 kg of its Quartzene® material to France. The material is intended for use in cool roof applications, which help buildings reflect sunlight and reduce heat absorption.
The order was placed by French distributor Novcoat, who will in turn supply the material to Renovcoat. Renovcoat utilizes Quartzene® in its anti-condensation and cool roof paints, targeting the French market as well as overseas territories and Africa, where the need for building cooling is high.
Cool roof paints can significantly reduce a building's energy consumption by decreasing the need for air conditioning in warm climates. This also leads to lower energy costs and a more comfortable indoor environment. Quartzene®'s excellent insulating properties and high SRI (Solar Reflectance Index) make it a key additive in these applications.
Svenska Aerogel is observing increasing demand for Quartzene® in the manufacturing of cool roof solutions. The company continues to commercialize the material across new and existing applications where its unique properties provide added value.
