Denodo Platform 9.1 Adds AI Capabilities and Enhances Data Lakehouse Performance
Denodo Technologies has released Denodo Platform 9.1, introducing new AI features and improved data lakehouse performance. The update includes the Denodo Assistant tool and the Denodo AI SDK.
Denodo Technologies, a data management company, has launched Denodo Platform 9.1. This latest release expands upon the AI capabilities introduced in Denodo Platform 9 and enhances the performance of data lakehouse solutions.
Central to this update is the Denodo Assistant, an AI-powered tool that leverages the Denodo Platform's semantic layer. It automates data engineering tasks and provides intelligent recommendations and contextual insights to data analysts. The Assistant's features include query creation assistance, intelligent query autocompletion, a data preparation wizard, and suggestions for view and column descriptions. It also processes and summarizes text, extracts entities, and translates languages using large language models.
Denodo has also introduced the Denodo AI SDK, an open-source toolkit designed to accelerate the development of AI applications and agents, particularly for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) implementations. The SDK simplifies the integration of structured and unstructured data into large language models. It comes with pre-built APIs, reusable components, and RESTful Data APIs specifically for developing RAG agents.
The update also improves the functionality of data lakehouse platforms. Denodo Platform 9.1 features enhanced support for Iceberg tables with improved introspection and time-travel capabilities. Additionally, it offers improved support for Microsoft Fabric and OneLake, including support for Delta table formats. The integration of Arrow Flight SQL support accelerates data transfer and query performance in cloud-based data lakehouses.
The Denodo AI SDK is available to customers under the Apache License and will soon be released on GitHub. It will also be included with Denodo Express and supported on the Denodo Cloud Service.
