Deschberger Metall- und Blechbearbeitungs GmbH Selects proalpha ERP Solution

Deschberger Metall- und Blechbearbeitungs GmbH, a metal and sheet metal processing company based in St. Martin im Innkreis, Austria, has selected proalpha as its new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system provider. The company, employing 30 staff, experienced significant growth in 2020, necessitating an upgrade to its operational software.

The decision to implement proalpha was driven by Deschberger's need to improve production planning and streamline its tender and offer processing. Manuel Lughofer, Head of Sales & Purchasing at Deschberger, stated the company sought a partner capable of supporting their future objectives, particularly in managing production capacity and throughput.

Previously, Deschberger utilized an ERP system that lacked essential features for production planning and real-time capacity oversight. This limitation hindered the company's ability to manage its just-in-time delivery schedules and accurately assess new order feasibility.

proalpha's solution reportedly impressed Deschberger with its capabilities in workflow management and offer processing via the proALPHA Workflow feature. Additionally, the integrated business intelligence tools and Qlik Sense-based dashboards were highlighted for providing detailed insights into the profitability of individual orders, crucial for a company operating primarily as a contract manufacturer.

Lughofer identified the primary challenge during the selection process as finding a system that could accurately model production processes, including detailed scheduling and Gantt charts. The new ERP system is expected to significantly enhance proactive planning and assist the company in ensuring the profitability of its projects.
