Desert Control's New Production Unit Completes First Commercial LNC Application on Arizona Date Palms
Desert Control's next-generation production unit has completed its first commercial-scale Liquid Natural Clay (LNC) application on 12 acres of Medjool date palms in Somerton, Arizona. The project validates the company's move to full commercial production.

Sandnes, Norway – Desert Control's new production unit has successfully completed its first commercial-scale field application of Liquid Natural Clay (LNC). The project involved applying LNC to 12 acres of Medjool date palms in Somerton, Arizona, on July 13, 2026.
This deployment marks a significant milestone for the company, validating its transition from prototype development to full commercial production. Desert Control reports that its production-optimized system demonstrated high-capacity performance under demanding field conditions.
The company develops LNC technology to address challenges posed by climate change and land degradation. The core benefit of LNC is its ability to enhance the soil's water retention capacity, thereby reducing irrigation needs, a critical factor for agriculture in arid regions.
The application on the Medjool date palm farm in Arizona is the first commercial deployment of the enhanced system. Desert Control has not yet released specific results from this initial commercial application.
