Deutsche Telekom Adds HBO Max Content to MagentaTV Platform
Deutsche Telekom is expanding its MagentaTV offering by integrating the HBO Max streaming service. This partnership provides customers access to a wide range of series and films from HBO, Warner Bros., and Discovery.
Deutsche Telekom has integrated the HBO Max streaming service into its MagentaTV platform. The agreement grants Telekom customers access to an extensive library of series, films, and major franchises from HBO, Warner Bros., the DC Universe, and Discovery.
HBO Max, which launched in the German market in January 2026, brings together content from several prominent entertainment brands. New titles include the highly anticipated prequel "4 Blocks ZERO", alongside global hits such as "Game of Thrones", "House of the Dragon", and the upcoming "Harry Potter" series.
The integration is part of Telekom's strategy to act as a "best aggregator," offering customers a centralized point of access to various streaming services. MagentaTV is providing six booking options for HBO Max, including discounted annual subscriptions.
Arnim Butzen, Telekom's Head of TV, emphasized the partnership's role in "offering our customers the best content in one place." Matthias Heinze, SVP Commercial at Warner Bros. Discovery GSA, stated that the collaboration makes HBO Max content more accessible through MagentaTV's broad reach and user-friendly interface.
