Deutsche Telekom and Google Cloud launch expanded network transformation partnership
Deutsche Telekom and Google Cloud are expanding their collaboration to advance cloud-native network services and data analytics.

Deutsche Telekom and Google Cloud have announced an expanded partnership aimed at defining a joint roadmap for the telecommunications industry. The collaboration seeks to bring cloud capabilities closer to the edge of Deutsche Telekom's network, supporting the shift towards cloud-native infrastructure in the sector.
The initial focus areas for the partnership include piloting core network services, such as 5G Standalone in Austria, and remote packet gateway functions. These trials will leverage Google Cloud and Google Distributed Cloud Edge to create more secure, reliable, and scalable networks capable of delivering low-latency connectivity and new services.
Additionally, the companies will collaborate on network and customer experience analytics. Deutsche Telekom plans to utilize Google Cloud's data analytics, AI, and ML solutions to enhance network planning, optimize operations, and gain deeper insights into customer needs and preferences.
Both companies anticipate that this collaboration will lead to improved end-user experiences and set new industry standards. This partnership builds on Deutsche Telekom's ongoing digital transformation efforts and its previous work with Google, including T-Systems' provision of sovereign cloud services to German public sector and enterprise clients.
