Deutsche Telekom and OpenAI Partner for AI Product Development

Deutsche Telekom and OpenAI have announced a multi-year collaboration aimed at bringing advanced artificial intelligence capabilities to millions of customers and businesses across Europe. The partnership grants Deutsche Telekom early access to an alpha-phase model from OpenAI.

The companies will co-develop new AI-powered products and experiences focused on communication and everyday productivity. These offerings are intended to be simple, personal, and multilingual, with the first pilot programs scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2026.

Deutsche Telekom will also deploy ChatGPT Enterprise across its organization, providing employees with secure access to OpenAI's advanced tools. This internal adoption is expected to enhance team collaboration, customer service, and innovation efforts. The company also plans to leverage AI more extensively in customer care, internal support, and network operations.

With over 261 million mobile customers globally, Deutsche Telekom sees this collaboration as a significant step in moving from AI experimentation to large-scale product deployment. The partnership aims to make AI intuitively useful and secure for everyday use by its broad customer base.
