Deutsche Telekom consolidates wholesale operations into T Wholesale

Deutsche Telekom has announced the consolidation of its German and international wholesale activities into a single entity named T Wholesale. This strategic move aims to provide clients with unified solutions that address both domestic and global needs, responding to the increasing demand for integrated telecommunications services.

The integration combines the former Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier unit with the national wholesale operations of Telekom Deutschland GmbH into the T Wholesale division. The company stated that this consolidation underscores the importance of its wholesale business and enhances its industry standing, better positioning it for the trend of internationalization.

T Wholesale serves over 250 telecommunications providers and resellers within Germany, alongside more than 900 international customers and partners. The new structure merges local expertise with extensive international knowledge, offering comprehensive support for cross-border developments, regulatory compliance, and market access on regional and global levels. Clients are expected to benefit from optimized processes and increased efficiency.

The consolidated entity will continue to offer its existing portfolio, including extensive IPX and fiber optic networks, high security standards, point-to-point connections, Ethernet, and MPLS services, as well as datacenter and in-flight broadband solutions. T Wholesale will also focus on advancing digital communication, artificial intelligence, network APIs, 5G Standalone, and edge cloud technologies through strategic partnerships to drive future innovation.
