Deutsche Telekom enhances mobile plans with international data
Deutsche Telekom is introducing new mobile tariffs from February 4th that include data allowances for travel outside the EU. This marks a first for the German market, aiming to provide seamless connectivity for travelers.
Deutsche Telekom is enhancing its MagentaMobil mobile tariffs, effective February 4th, by including data allowances for travel outside the European Union. This move aims to provide customers with worry-free internet access while abroad.
The updated MagentaMobil tariffs (S, M, L, and XL) now come with annual data volumes specifically for use in EU Group 2 and 3 countries. For example, MagentaMobil XL includes 50 GB per year, with smaller amounts allocated to the other tiers. This data can be flexibly used throughout the calendar year without additional charges.
Telekom highlights this as a first in the German mobile market, offering included data for non-EU travel as standard. The company expects this feature to improve the travel experience, particularly relevant for upcoming international events in North America.
These benefits, including the international data allowance, extend to supplementary PlusKarten, such as the PlusKarte Data. MagentaMobil L and XL tariffs also offer included international calling to the EU, Switzerland, UK, and Turkey, along with multiple MultiSIM cards for devices like tablets and smartwatches.
