Deutsche Telekom increases data volume in prepaid plans without price change

Bonn – Deutsche Telekom announced on February 11 that it will boost the data allowance for its MagentaMobil Prepaid mobile plans starting February 25. The company stated that the price for these plans will remain unchanged, offering customers more data for the same cost.

The data increases apply to the MagentaMobil Prepaid M, L, and XL plans, as well as the annual tariff. For instance, the MagentaMobil Prepaid M plan will now include 20 GB of data for €9.95 per 28-day period, up from previous allowances. The MagentaMobil Prepaid L will offer 40 GB for €14.95, and the XL plan will provide 80 GB for €19.95.

Unused data allowance will roll over to the next billing cycle, allowing customers to use their remaining data in the following period. Deutsche Telekom also confirmed that Switzerland will continue to be treated as an EU country for roaming purposes, meaning customers can use their domestic allowances there without incurring extra charges.

The MagentaMobil Prepaid S and Max plans will remain unchanged. All plans include access to the 5G network. The updated prepaid offerings will be available for booking from February 25 through Telekom shops, online, and retail partners.
