Deutsche Telekom introduces new mobile plans with unlimited data option

Berlin – Deutsche Telekom unveiled its updated MagentaMobil mobile plans today, promising enhanced data allowances and an unlimited data option via an additional PlusKarte. The company aims to attract customers and provide a competitive service package on Germany's best network.

The "PlusKarte" add-on, designed for families or shared households, is priced at €19.95 per month and provides unlimited data for both the primary and additional SIM card. Each subsequent add-on card costs €9.95 monthly. The MagentaMobil XL plan, offering fully unlimited data, is set at €84.95 per month.

Wolfgang Metze, Head of Consumer Business at Telekom Germany, emphasized that the new plans deliver "no compromises on quality." "We are strengthening community with unlimited mobile service," he stated. Metze indicated these plans are a response to societal trends, aiming to foster connection and reduce daily restrictions while ensuring high-speed 5G network performance and comprehensive service.

Base plans S, M, and L also see significant data increases of 10 to 20 GB per month, bringing them to 30, 50, and 100 GB respectively. Furthermore, MagentaMobil L and XL plans now include an international calling flat rate for calls from Germany to all networks in the EU, Switzerland, the UK, and Turkey. The MagentaMobil XS plan has also been upgraded to 20 GB for €29.95 per month.
