Deutsche Telekom introduces new mobile tariffs with unlimited data

Deutsche Telekom has announced new MagentaMobil mobile tariffs that introduce "unlimited" data options, with a particular emphasis on family and group plans. The company aims to provide unhindered mobile data usage through its enhanced offerings.

The company stated that the new tariffs are designed to meet consumer demand for flexibility and high-quality network experience without data caps. "We are making mobile communications easy. No permanent recharging, no compromised network quality, no speed limitations. Instead, high-speed 5G and the best service – personally or digitally via app," said Wolfgang Metze, Head of Private Customers at Telekom Deutschland.

A key feature is the "PlusKarte" add-on, priced at 19.95 euros per month. When this card is added, the main tariff is automatically upgraded to unlimited data. Each subsequent add-on costs 9.95 euros per month. Telekom also offers additional benefits for MagentaEINS customers who bundle mobile and fixed-line services.

The new plans also increase data allowances for base tariffs. MagentaMobil S, M, and L will see data boosts of 10 or 20 GB, reaching 30, 50, and 100 GB respectively. Additionally, MagentaMobil L and XL tariffs now include a flat-rate for international calls from Germany to the EU, Switzerland, the UK, and Turkey. Telekom also highlighted its network coverage, noting 5G availability for 98 percent of Germany's population.
