Deutsche Telekom introduces new unlimited mobile plans

Bonn – Deutsche Telekom unveiled new mobile plans on March 19 that expand unlimited data access to more tariffs and enhance international calling features. The new MagentaMobil plans will take effect on April 1.

The company states that the new plans aim to strengthen community and remove limitations on mobile service usage. Notably, the M and L tariff plans will include a PlusKarte add-on providing unlimited data for €19.95 per month. This add-on also upgrades the main tariff to unlimited data. Each subsequent add-on costs €9.95 per month.

For S tariffs bundled with a fixed-line contract, unlimited data is now also possible. Individual users also benefit from improvements: data volumes for S, M, and L tariffs will increase by 10-20 gigabytes (GB) to now offer 30 GB (S), 50 GB (M), and 100 GB (L). Additionally, the L and XL tariffs will now include unlimited calls from Germany to EU countries, Switzerland, the UK, and Turkey.

Wolfgang Metze, Head of Consumer Business at Deutsche Telekom, emphasized that the new plans meet customer needs and societal trends. "We strengthen communities. Whether partnerships or families, shared apartments or friends. Those who join forces save money and don't have to worry about mobile service," Metze stated in a press release.

Telekom has also upgraded its smallest XS tariff to include 20 GB of data for €29.95 per month. All plans utilize the company's 5G network, which already covers 98% of Germany's population. The LTE network covers over 99%.
