Deutsche Telekom Launches 5G Smartphones in Germany
Deutsche Telekom has introduced its T Phone and T Phone Pro 5G smartphones in Germany starting January 24. The company aims to provide broader access to 5G network capabilities at a lower price point.
Deutsche Telekom has officially launched its T Phone and T Phone Pro 5G smartphones in the German market as of January 24. This move aims to make 5G network technology more accessible to a wider range of consumers in Germany.
The devices, which have already been available in eight other European countries since October 2022, are based on T-Mobile US's REVVL product line. Deutsche Telekom developed these smartphones in collaboration with Google.
The T Phone is priced at 219 euros and the T Phone Pro at 269 euros in Germany. When purchased with a Deutsche Telekom MagentaMobil rate plan, the price drops to just 1 euro, reflecting the company's strategy to offer 5G access at an affordable price point.
Key features of the smartphones include a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, large displays (6.5-inch for T Phone, 6.8-inch for T Phone Pro), and multi-lens camera systems. The T Phone Pro also supports inductive charging. Additionally, Deutsche Telekom is offering eco-friendly, compostable phone covers produced by A Good Company.
