Deutsche Telekom Launches Affordable T Phone to Broaden 5G Access

Deutsche Telekom is launching its new T Phone and T Phone Pro smartphones, aiming to expand the reach of 5G technology across Europe by offering them at a more accessible price. The company stated that the cost of 5G devices has been a significant barrier for many users.

The devices will initially be available in nine European countries starting October 5, with Germany following in early 2023. The T Phone starts at €199 and the T Phone Pro at €249, with attractive tariff bundles also available.

Developed in partnership with Google, the T Phone line builds on the experience gained from T-Mobile US's successful REVVL smartphone series. The phones are designed to offer features such as large displays and high-resolution cameras at an affordable cost.

Deutsche Telekom aims to narrow the digital divide by providing competitively priced 5G smartphones, enabling more customers to utilize the capabilities of 5G networks for entertainment, education, and smart city services.
