Deutsche Telekom Projects Major Growth Driven by AI Integration
Deutsche Telekom expects AI and automation to significantly boost revenue and cut costs by 2030. The company aims for approximately 800 million euros in AI-related revenue from businesses outside the U.S.

Deutsche Telekom has outlined its strategic integration of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance growth, efficiency, and service quality across its operations. The company anticipates that AI-driven services will generate substantial new revenue streams from both enterprise and consumer segments.
A primary objective is to increase AI-related revenue from business customers outside the United States to approximately 800 million euros by 2030. Deutsche Telekom identifies a significant business opportunity in Europe's demand for sovereign AI, offering solutions that integrate its network infrastructure with partner technologies. New AI services, such as the Magenta AI Assistant for real-time call translation, are also expected to drive growth in the consumer sector.
The company projects that AI and automation will yield approximately 2.5 billion euros in savings on indirect costs by 2030, compared to 2023 levels. These savings are anticipated across network operations, customer service, and administrative processes. A portion of the estimated 1.1 billion euros in savings for 2027 is earmarked for reinvestment in digital transformation and fiber network expansion.
AI is also enhancing network and customer service quality by enabling earlier detection of network strains and assisting customer service representatives in faster issue resolution. Deutsche Telekom has trained over 100,000 employees in AI utilization, aiming to streamline workflows and improve decision-making processes.
