Deutsche Telekom Proposes Highest Ever Dividend of 1 Euro Per Share
Deutsche Telekom proposed a dividend of 1 euro per share, the highest in the company's history, at its Annual General Meeting. CEO Tim Höttges confirmed the group's financial guidance for 2026.

Deutsche Telekom has proposed its highest-ever dividend of 1 euro per share, announced at the company's Annual General Meeting in Bonn. CEO Tim Höttges highlighted the company's role as a dependable entity in an uncertain global landscape, linking the proposed dividend increase to a stable, long-term strategy.
Addressing shareholders, Höttges confirmed the group's financial guidance for 2026. The company reported a 4.2 percent organic revenue growth to over 119 billion euros and a 4.7 percent organic increase in adjusted EBITDA AL to more than 44.2 billion euros for the past fiscal year. Deutsche Telekom aims to continue this growth trajectory by leveraging its presence on both European and American continents.
The CEO also voiced criticism regarding the increasing regulatory interventions in Europe's digital industry, arguing that excessive micro-regulation could hinder economies of scale and European digital sovereignty. He emphasized the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI), detailing its use across Deutsche Telekom's operations for network fault detection and repair, coding, market analysis, and legal support.
Deutsche Telekom is integrating AI through initiatives like its "Magenta" assistant, which offers real-time translation and other network-integrated services accessible via voice command. The company also plans to offer its AI factory services in Munich to small and medium-sized enterprises, providing them with control over their data and technology.
Höttges stressed that security and data privacy are paramount in these AI developments, assuring that the AI assistant only responds when activated and does not store user data. The company presented a model of its AI factory, emphasizing its support for German industry and sovereignty.
