Deutsche Telekom to Launch Industrial AI Cloud in German Data Center
Deutsche Telekom announced its Industrial AI Cloud, set to launch in Q1 2026. Hosted in a German data center with 10,000 NVIDIA GPUs, the platform will offer significant computing power and data sovereignty for European companies.

Deutsche Telekom is launching its Industrial AI Cloud service in the first quarter of 2026. The platform, housed in an underground data center in Munich, will be equipped with 10,000 NVIDIA Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) to support demanding artificial intelligence applications.
The cloud service is primarily aimed at industrial companies, SMEs, start-ups, public authorities, and research institutions. It aims to provide flexible access to powerful computing capacity, removing the need for customers to build their own costly AI infrastructures. The initiative seeks to bolster Europe's digital sovereignty and competitiveness in the AI sector.
According to Deutsche Telekom, the Industrial AI Cloud is expected to increase Germany's available AI computing power by 50 percent. The platform will support applications such as large language models, digital twins, simulations, and predictive maintenance. In collaboration with partners like SAP and Siemens, Deutsche Telekom is establishing a secure AI ecosystem adhering to German and European data protection and security standards.
A key feature of the service is that data is processed within Germany, ensuring data sovereignty and privacy for European companies. This initiative, part of the "Deutschland Stack" effort, aims to create a domestic foundation for AI solutions, independent of foreign providers.
