A developer named Ken Kawamoto has created a unique competitive game called "Power Struggle" that utilizes a dual USB-C charging cable, according to a report by Chinese outlet IT Home. The game allows players to compete in a "tapping speed" challenge, where the loser's phone is used to charge the winner's.

The gameplay involves two players installing an app on their phones and connecting them with a dual USB-C cable. They then frantically tap their screens. The player with more taps within a set time wins, becoming the "power receiving" party. The losing player becomes the "power supplying" party, essentially having their battery drained.

However, the game is described as more of a gag than a practical application. The actual charging efficiency is extremely low. Developer tests indicate an output current of around 1500 mA, translating to about 7.5W at 5V. Crucially, around 1100 mA is consumed by the game's operation, leaving only about 400 mA (roughly 2W) for actual charging, which is insufficient for effective charging and primarily serves as entertainment.

While "Power Struggle" doesn't offer literal life-or-death stakes, its appeal lies in the absurd scenario. Players might gamble their last remaining battery power on a competitive match, only for both to end up searching for an electrical outlet together. This futile competition for the last bit of power seems to be the game's core appeal.
