Developers and publishers clash over control of game Wu Hua Mi Xin
Cipaishe Studio has assumed operational control of the game Wu Hua Mi Xin, prompting publisher Bilibili to allege a contract breach by partner Longyuan Network.
A management dispute over the mobile title Wu Hua Mi Xin has surfaced following developer Cipaishe Studio's announcement that it has taken over the game’s operations. The studio stated that the decision was necessary due to irreconcilable differences with the original publisher, Longyuan Network, regarding the game's development trajectory.
The situation escalated after Bilibili, the co-publisher, accused Longyuan Network of committing a unilateral breach of contract. According to Bilibili, the publisher terminated access to official servers without notice, requiring players to transition to third-party infrastructure. This has sparked concerns regarding data security and user experience for the game's player base.
Bilibili has announced its intent to pursue legal action against Longyuan Network, citing the firm's recent financial difficulties as a potential factor in the sudden operational shift. The company has advised players against providing credentials to external channels while the situation remains unresolved.
Wu Hua Mi Xin, a strategy card game released in April 2024, is currently facing significant operational uncertainty. Both parties are competing for control, leaving the long-term status of player data and server stability in question.
