DEVK Group has continued its growth, achieving its best new business results and highest gross premiums in its 140-year history for 2025. The group's gross premium income increased by 7 percent to 5.75 billion euros. New business sales saw a significant rise of 17.6 percent, reaching 1.33 billion euros.

"DEVK Group's booked gross premiums increased by 7 percent to 5.75 billion euros in 2025," stated CEO Michael Knaup, who took office in January 2026. He emphasized that the company achieved this growth organically, navigating a challenging market environment marked by geopolitical tensions and volatile global trade.

The insurer strategically replaced older contracts, leading to a slight decrease in the total number of policies to 14.7 million. Within Germany, DEVK's property and casualty insurance business grew by 9.7 percent to 2.80 billion euros, surpassing the industry average of 8.0 percent. Motor insurance premiums increased by 14.8 percent to 1.58 billion euros, and health insurance saw dynamic growth of 11.6 percent, reaching 134 million euros.

DEVK strengthened its financial foundation, with its capital investment volume increasing by 2.9 percent to 24.07 billion euros and its equity rising by 6.9 percent to 3.04 billion euros. The company reported a net profit of 136 million euros for the year, nearly tripling its profit from the previous year.

Reinsurance business also expanded, with gross premiums from non-group business reaching 1.41 billion euros. The company aims to continue this growth while reinforcing its capital base and diversifying its risks across regions and sectors.
