DEVK Versicherungen is launching its own corporate health insurance (bKV) product, JobMed, on July 1, 2026. This new offering enables employers, particularly small and medium-sized businesses, to invest in their employees' well-being and enhance their ability to attract and retain skilled workers.

Martin Wierer, a board member at DEVK, stated that corporate health insurance can help compensate for potential cuts in public healthcare and foster employee motivation. "Maintaining health is an important benefit for many employees," Wierer said, suggesting the insurance can serve as an alternative to salary increases.

The JobMed offering marks an expansion for DEVK in the corporate health insurance sector, where it has been active for two years. Previously, the company offered VerkehrsMed, tailored for the transport industry. The new JobMed product is not industry-specific and is designed for businesses with a minimum of five employees, including those in retail, crafts, and service industries.

DEVK provides four insurance variants: three budget-based options and one for inpatient hospital stays. The budget plans offer employees an annual health allowance to cover expenses such as glasses, dental treatments, or alternative therapies. All insured individuals also gain access to practical services, including a health hotline and assistance with scheduling specialist appointments.

Dirk Kopisch, another board member, described corporate health insurance as "social glue" for the workforce, boosting satisfaction and potentially reducing sick leave. The insurance requires no health checks or waiting periods and covers pre-existing conditions, making it an attractive benefit for both employees and employers.
