DEVK Versicherungen has introduced its new car insurance tariffs, set to take effect in September 2024. The insurance provider is now offering three distinct coverage levels to cater to customer needs: Aktiv, Komfort, and Premium.

The Aktiv tier is designed for customers seeking a cost-effective basic level of protection. The Komfort tier is generally recommended for all customers, offering more comprehensive coverage than Aktiv. The Premium tier is specifically targeted at owners of new or high-value vehicles, frequent international travelers, or those desiring extensive additional protection. This tier also includes a more comprehensive travel insurance for abroad.

Distinctions are also made within the comprehensive (Kasko) coverage. Partial comprehensive (Teilkasko) covers, for instance, damages resulting from collisions with animals and animal bites to cables, hoses, and lines. Full comprehensive (Vollkasko) offers the broadest protection, including benefits such as new vehicle price compensation over extended periods, enhanced coverage for special equipment, and insurance for electric vehicle charging cables and cards.

DEVK also provides additional services, such as covering the costs for car key replacement and offering a rental car option in case of theft or damage. The Premium tier additionally specifies mobile phone insurance if the device is kept in the car.

The new tariffs aim to provide flexible solutions for various customer segments and vehicle types. The insurer emphasizes the availability of different comprehensive insurance levels and add-on coverages, allowing customers to customize their policies according to their specific requirements.
