Dextr AI Raises $6.7M for Hotel AI Agents
San Francisco-based Dextr AI has raised $6.7 million in seed funding to develop AI agents for hotels. These agents handle reservations, guest requests, and staff coordination.

San Francisco-based startup Dextr AI has secured $6.7 million in seed funding to develop artificial intelligence agents designed for the hotel industry, handling tasks such as reservations, guest inquiries, and staff coordination.
The company was founded by Sajid Shariff and Scott Arnold in July 2025. The funding round was led by Elevation Capital with participation from Foundation Capital, marking Dextr's first institutional financing.
Dextr's AI agents aim to address persistent challenges in the hotel sector, including rising labor costs and staffing shortages. One of the company's clients utilizes a voice reservation agent, Daisy, which processes bookings valued between $100,000 and $300,000 monthly.
These agents can also manage other functions, such as group bookings and staff management. Dextr's objective is to integrate agents so that information from one area of hotel operations can trigger actions in another. For instance, if a guest declines housekeeping, a guest agent can relay this information to an operations agent to adjust staff schedules.
The startup reports that its agents are already handling over 1 million interactions monthly across hundreds of hotels. With the new funding, Dextr plans to hire more engineers, expand its software integrations, and develop additional agents.
