DheyaTech Secures ₹43 Crore for Indigenous Gas Turbine Engine Production
Aerospace startup DheyaTech has raised ₹43 crore in a funding round to scale up production of its indigenous gas turbine engines. The capital will also fund an integrated testing facility.
Aerospace propulsion startup DheyaTech has secured ₹43 crore (approximately $5.1 million) in a funding round led by Avaana Capital, with participation from Unimech Aerospace and Manufacturing.
The Bengaluru-based company plans to use the capital to scale its production, establish an integrated testing facility for its gas turbine engines, and accelerate commercial deployments with domestic and global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). DheyaTech is targeting flight trials of its engines in the fourth quarter of 2026.
DheyaTech develops small, indigenous gas turbine engines for advanced aerial platforms and energy systems, with thrust capacities ranging from 20 kgf to 400 kgf. The company claims to be the first Indian private entity pursuing independent airworthiness certification for its gas turbine engines under the guidance of the Centre for Military Airworthiness and Certification (CEMILAC).
This funding round comes amid growing investor interest in Indian aerospace and spacetech startups focused on indigenous hardware and propulsion technologies. In the first half of 2026, advanced hardware and technology startups, including those in aerospace and defense, raised a total of $365 million across 66 deals.
